We spoke to The Fall Bride Founder Annelise Sealy about her jewellery stories. Equipped with a disposable camera, she took us on a day in her life.

1. Tell us about yourself
   I'm Annelise, I'm half English/half Norwegian and was raised mainly in the States. I moved to London for university 14 years ago and never left. In 2020, I opened The Fall Bride - the UK's first contemporary multi-brand bridal offering.
2. What made you start The Fall?
   Having worked in the fashion industry for a decade, I reached the age where colleagues and friends started to get engaged. I realised there was nothing on the market that I resonated with and, after developing the idea and concept for a year, opened the first iteration of The Fall.
   
3. What are the wedding trends you are noticing for 2023?
   We are starting to see drop waists come through in the new bridal collections. I never thought I would love a drop waist, but they are incredibly flattering when done in the right fabric and structure. Also, Bridgerton busts - you know, the heaving bosom.
   
4. If you could only give one piece of advice to a bride what would it be?
   Stay true to yourself! It's hard when there are so many opinions offered. Make sure you choose the right people to be with you for the important decisions - not the ones that will cloud your judgment.
   
5. If you could only wear one thing ever again, what would it be and why?
   Converse. After the pandemic, I can't seem to get out of trainers.
6. What is your first jewellery memory?
   My mothers silver charm bracelet, with charms collected over the years from a small local jeweller in Norway. The intricacy and detail on the little charms is absolutely amazing, I was obsessed with examining them as a child.
7. Is there a piece of jewellery that is particularly special to you? If yes, why?
   My engagement ring - my partner and I chose it while on a trip to Los Angeles. It has a unique "broken band" design, where the gold band has a gap and doesn't quite meet.
   
8. Who are women who inspire you in your life?
   My close friends - each one of my friends has their own strength and wisdom, I wouldn't be where I am without them.
   
9. How would you describe your style?
   Very relaxed and a bit tomboy-ish. Comfort is my main priority, and I tend to default to a top/sweater with jeans and trainers, and then dressed up a bit with jewellery.
   
10. When you think of Daphine what comes to mind?
    Effortless!
11. What are some of the lessons you have learned over the last year?
    Do the work, and treat everyone with compassion.
