Trishna

For the first in our interview series 'Daphine Days', where we speak to women who inspire us, we spoke to long time friends of the brand, Social Media Consultant and Content Creator Trishna Goklani about her jewellery stories. Equipped with a disposable camera, she took us on a day in her life.

  1. What comes first? outfit or jewels
Outfit definitely. My outfit is what changes everyday but the jewellery I wear will always be the same. Or... rotate around the same few pieces.
  2. What is your first memory about jewellery?
I think my earliest memory is seeing my mom's collection of colorful earrings and necklaces. I think that's where I got my love of accessorising from. Maybe they're not the same style of jewellery but I definitely take after my love of jewellery from my mum.
  3. Is there a piece that is special to you?
I have a ring that belonged to my grandma but she handed it down to me to keep. Now that I'm so far away from her, it's so nice to have something to feel closer to her with. Also, I love my Daphine signet ring. Now that I have it engraved, it's something I want to pass down to my children one day.
  4. Do you wear jewellery to sleep?
Oh definitely, I think necklaces are the easiest things to sleep with, or earrings if they're light and small enough. I've worn my Daphine necklace during lockdown for months on end before I switched it up.
  5. What is one piece of jewellery that automatically elevates your outfit going out?
I think earrings are a great way to grab attention as they're framed nicely with your face so definitely that!
  6. Favourite Daphine piece?
So hard! I love every single piece so much but if i had to choose, I would choose the Oli Hoops. It's something I'd wear EVERYDAY without fail. It's an easy thing to reach for when it just makes any outfit look super chic (even when i'm in my glasses, no makeup and not trying with my outfit).

TIPS & TRICKS

Your ring should fit your finger comfortably, snug enough so that it will not fall off but loose enough to slide over your knuckle with some resistance.

For best results measure your finger size at the end of the day and when your fingers are their largest.

Don’t measure when your body temperature is either too cold or too hot. Only measure when fingers are at room temperature.

If you hesitate between two sizes, always go with the larger one.

If you are purchasing a wide band, you will be more comfortable moving up a half size from your measurement.
